Why I Work Exclusively as a Clinical Herbalist Now

From July 2026, we will no longer sell single-herb tinctures or fluid extracts as food supplements.

While these are high-quality herbs, as a clinical herbalist I couldn't ignore the fact that herbs are often far more effective when combined with other herbs and prescribed in therapeutic dosages. Used medicinally, rather than simply as food supplements, they have the potential to offer so much more.

Although you were buying high-quality herbal products, you may have been missing one of the most valuable aspects of herbal medicine: personalised guidance. Choosing the right herbs, the right combinations, the right dosage, and the right duration of use can make a significant difference to the results you experience.

It may seem that buying herbs directly saves the cost of a consultation, but retail herbal products are typically priced higher to cover additional overheads. They are also limited to food supplement dosage regulations and, most importantly, cannot be tailored to your individual constitution, health history, or specific needs.

For these reasons, the decision to step away from retail sales was an easy one. By focusing exclusively on clinical herbal practice, I can provide personalised herbal prescriptions, therapeutic-strength formulations, and the professional guidance needed to help you achieve the best possible outcomes from herbal medicine.
