Origin: Propagated by root division, Irish grown.
Description: Native to India, Australia, and the Americas. Creeping, aquatic, succulent, perennial plant. In temperate climate it is a tender perennial. With small, fleshy, opposite, sessile leaves with white flowers.
Hardiness: Tender, requires winter protection.
Soil: Rich, nutrient-dense soil.
Position: Thrives is full sun, warm, wet areas. Can be grown in a pond during the warm months.
Height: Creeping and low-growing when kept in the ground, though it can grow taller when immersed in water.
Maintenance: Keep indoors until all risk of frost has passed. If moving outside, move into a sunny position, keep it consistently moist. Move back indoors once the weather cools. It can not withstand below 15 °C. Harvest regularly.
